Dynamic Maximum Tension — Behind the Scenes

New Video: Dynamic Maximum Tension – Behind the Scenes

Where do you turn to look for optimism? How do you manage to approach the future as something to be anticipated rather than dreaded? These are the questions that inspired the music from our upcoming Nonesuch Records release, Dynamic Maximum Tension.

For me, the answer came in looking back to the icons of a more hopeful time — people like Buckminster Fuller, Alan Turing, Mae West, and Duke Ellington. Each in their own way, these forward-looking figures realized their personal vision of the future, ushering in a better, more optimistic, more vibrant world than what they inherited.

I talk a bit more about these inspirations in this video, directed by Reuben Hernandez, where we take you behind the scenes at Power Station for the making of Dynamic Maximum Tension.
