Frankfurt Special

Medieval-Timberframe-houses-and-Lady-Justice-in-Frankfurt-Germany

The Frankfurt Radio Big Band (AKA the hr-Bigband, your source for guaranteed original 100% Hessischer Rundfunk) was the first European radio band I ever worked with — our first project together was in April 2009, before Infernal Machines was even out. The group has had a long and fruitful association with their current chief conductor, Jim McNeely — always nice to work with a band accustomed to navigating all those thorny McNeely charts! — and it’s a genuine pleasure to be making music with them once again.

We are currently deep in the throes of rehearsal, and I’ll be leading the band in three (3!) concerts of my music next week:
