On April 27, join the Museum of the City of New York for the world premiere of The Parsonage, a song cycle about an inconspicuous townhouse in the East Village that was at the heart of eight dramatic moments in New York City history.
The Parsonage, which takes from the worlds of jazz, classical, and “post-classical” music, features libretto by cultural historian David Hajdu and music by eight composers: Darcy James Argue, Theo Bleckmann, Regina Carter, Ted Hearne, Kirk Nurock, Renee Rosnes, Sarah Kirkland Snider, and Dan Tepfer.
