I’m beyond thrilled to announce that I have won Arranger of the Year in DownBeat Magazine’s 72nd Annual Critics Poll!
Additionally, Secret Society is runner-up in the Big Band category, and Dynamic Maximum Tension made the Top 10 Jazz Albums of the Year. Deepest thanks to all of the hard-working jazz critics who have championed this record.
Massive congratulations are also due to my co-conspirators Ryan Keberle, who tied for first in the Trombone category, and Jennifer Wharton, who won Rising Star: Trombone. Many other Secret Society regulars also appear in their respective categories — kudos to all for this hard-won, much-deserved recognition.
